Question Bank

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

MCQs are designed to test the candidate's knowledge, understanding, and application of the course topics. Each MCQ will have a stem (a brief clinical scenario or a direct question) followed by five options, of which only one will be the correct answer.

Extended Matching Questions (EMQs)

EMQs are designed to assess the candidate's ability to apply their knowledge to clinical scenarios. Each EMQ will consist of a theme, a list of options, and several scenarios. Candidates will be required to match the appropriate option to each scenario.

The MRCPsych Paper B exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with single best answers and 50 extended matching questions (EMQs). The exam duration is 3 hours.
